ASA Section on Altruism, Morality, and Social Solidarity
I have served as a council member of the American Sociological Association Section on Altruism, Morality, and Social Solidarity (AMSS) in 2012-14 and have been elected to serve in 2015-16. I am also a member of the Section's Publications Committee and its webmaster. The AMSS Section seeks to establish the study of altruism, morality, and social solidarity as a recognized field of theoretical development and empirical research in sociology. It brings together social psychologists, sociologists of religion, cultural sociologists, and others with an interest in any aspect of these topics. You can read more about the Section on its website.

Scholars Strategy Network
I am a member of Scholars Strategy Network (SSN), which is a project that aims to improve public policy and strengthen democracy by organizing scholars and connecting their research with policy makers, civil associations, and the media. In particular, network members work to communicate the implications of their research in ways that are broadly accessible by publishing policy briefs on the network's website. You can read my policy briefs on my SSN page and read more about the project on its website.

Working Papers in Cultural Sociology Series
I am on the review committee of the Working Papers in Cultural Sociology Series. This series brings together papers at various stages of development, and seeks to serve as a platform for organizing research projects in cultural sociology, mapping the field, disseminating ideas, and building dialogue between current and future colleagues.
